UEFI and the Windows virus infected computer (need Live Linux CD to detect and maybe fix it).

The irony is that business PCs will still ship without UEFI as most business are
still in the process of migrating to Windows 7 from XP. There are a suprising
number of companies still standardized on XP and IE6. To the degree they are
implementing workstations running vmware to run XP to avoid hardware
compatibility issues...

This is all about locking in consumers into windows. MS is afraid that customer
will upgrade their PCs, laptops, and tablets to chromium or android to avoid the
next windows upgrade cycle. Mark my words the day isn't far off when you'll be
able to buy a latop with android (or the like) preinstalled in any computer
store.
