is either a corporation looking to get rich of their "IP"
or a lawyer who will get rich from all the litigation.

people who believe software patents are not inherently bad are either idiots, or
they should be shot.

software patents have to be stopped, it must end.

anything else spells doom for the US, the rest of the world will move on, the US
will become a legal backwaters

The british have a rule and tradition that part of the bargain in a patent is
that you intend to see it in the marketplace...and you can be taken to court if
you can't come to terms for a commercial license.

Swype is a poster child for this...mandatory non-discriminatory licensing.
