As theories go Darwins has held up better than Newtons 'Laws' of Motion.
And we can use those to land a man on the moon!

In this post-DNA era of abundant scientific evidence of genetic transmission and
isolation, it is hard for most of us to put ourselves in the context in which
Darwin and Wallace wrote.

Those who would "teach the controversy" could do a true service in
detailing the educated views of the late 18th and early 19th century on origins
of the species.
