Autosaving to random parts of the boot partition destroys the security of your
OS, since you don't know that the program you didn't write isn't doing more.
Therefore you need to be actively controlling that operation, or you risk losing
the very control over your computer I am trying to guarantee. The smart thing
to do in this case is to give this program access to *only* the correct
directory within the boot partition.
You are owner, you do what you want...but you've got all this software trying to
sell you a famous bridge in Brooklyn, designed by none other than John Roebling
himself....
I'm also at the point of deciding that the boot partition is a CD, anyway.
Especially with my Linux system staying up for weeks at a time, going down for
upgrades and power loss, half a minute to boot is a really minimal cost.
