Auto save is fine....as long as THAT is what it is....

Auto-save is something that, as an owner, you might want your XYZZY program to
do....but think, should XYZZY be able to "auto-save" into the boot
partition, or to whatever block of the hard drive it likes? Should it be able
to kill the file you specifically saved last month?

No? Only to a place it owns, right, like it's data subdirectory... I am working
on how to guarantee that at most that, and no hanky-panky happens....no packets
to the Facebook/Stuxnet command center, no scripts in my e-mail folder, etc,
etc..

and how to do it without doing any inspection of the software except to execute
it.
