SCOG found out the hard way that:
You really don't want to be involved in
an industry where your street cred is based on the number of lawsuits in which
you are the plaintiff.
There's a good side to either of those two
statements. Ditto for a bad side.
If you are rather loose with other
peoples products, then yes, you don't want to be known for being a defendant.
At the same time, if you are rather loose with other peoples products, you don't
want to be known for being a plaintiff either.
Start looking at how some
of the Judges are treating the RIAA in their initiated lawsuits. Examine what
happened to RightHaven when they decided to duplicate the RIAA's
behavior.
Get the point? No extreme behavior is good.
It's too
bad so few of the main journalists author their stories pointing out clearly the
extreme behaviors rather then just regurgitating what appears to be press
releases by the perps.
