So, if I understand the above language* and the timeframe,
Google did, at least, elect to not veto at least one lawsuit
from Motorola in which their contract did give them the
right to intervene.
It is unlikely that Google has initiated any lawsuits yet.
Of course, that isn't evil - given that Motorola initiated
only defensive lawsuits during that time interval. But,
short-term, it isn't a purely positive action. (potential
nervousness from independent developers until they conclude
that Google really only does defensive lawsuits.)
