Forensic auditors needed?
Authored by: rsteinmetz70112 on Tuesday, June 05 2012 @ 04:40 PM EDT
It may be difficult to track. Some states have very limited reporting rules for
some types of entities. For example I discovered that in Colorado partnerships
are not required to be registered with the Secretary of State so if two
corporation form a partnership there is very little record keeping required. In
my recent case one such partnership decided to change its name and then didn't
inform the local real estate registrar and the county was carrying an obsolete
name on property so we could not get a building permit because the Owner was
required to some some papers.
