The Soviets arrived at their system after trying "true communism" and
finding it unworkable in practice. The commune - working for the betterment of
all - requires state power to enforce it and prevent the inevitable slackers
from doing no work and benefiting from the work of others. State power breeds
corruption in those who wield it. It is an absolute form of power, and corrupts

We've had a joke back in USSR which went as follows:
Q. What is the difference between capitalism and soviet
systems?
A. In capitalist system some people are exploiting another

Herb Cohen wrote a book in the seventies titled "You Can Negotiate
Anything." In it he described four distinct negotiating styles, one of
which was "Soviet style." Soviet-style negotiation is particularly
harsh and brutal. Basically, you push and push and push and don't give and inch.
Any attempt by the other side to compromise is seen as a sign of weakness to be
taken advantage of.
I believe this is what the judge was referring to, and, yes, it has absolutely
nothing to do with communism.

... as factually incorrect as it is, Soviet does equate to communism in their
minds.
Even today - how many years after the Cold War ended - there is
still a rather large portion of North American society that will become very
anti- when you mention communist.
What I mean by anti- is whatever your
topic of conversation is... if you mention they exhibit a single tendency of a
Communist, they get incredibly defensive, if you mention a person they associate
with admitted to being a Communist, too many are automatically leaning towards
no longer being friends.
In this instance: Stigma still outweighs
facts.

Facts don't matter when Herr Mueller opens his mouth.
The mentioning of communism was to play the "the ruling is
anti-american" card. Now, remember SCO and Microsoft? Remember their free
software is communism and anti-american spiel?
This rerun is an indication that Herr Mueller's puppet masters run out of fresh
