With Oracle? Nah, they would probably buy another company with the money,
gutting the company in the process, while finding more excuses to start other
lawsuits and destroy more companies.

With Google, this probably would have ended up in the Android patent troll
defence fund that they need with Microsoft and Apple directly and indirectly
causing them major headaches on that end.

Please, the money wasn't lost. It ended up where it rightfully belonged -
in the pockets of lawyers. </cynic>
