Judge deals deathblow to Oracle in Google fight
The author is
hilariously ignorant. For example,
Alsup threw out a judgment handed
down by a jury last month
that said Google violated the copyrights on 37
patents owned by Oracle.

It would be best if Oracle took it to the appeals court.
Long term for Oracle, even if they lose this, they WIN big time (as it clears
the deck for cases against them on the future and makes the case law hardened in
this area - something that all tech companies can then take to the bank as they
map out their PRODUCTs and future's for their products).
I would like to see this go to the Supreme Court, and then all the courts of the
land would have to pay heed to the ruling then.
Again, Oracle, with their product portfolio would benefit even if they were to
lose on appeal (then appeal again the the Supreme Court - still would win if
they lost).

What the experts fail to notice is this: Oracle has a
history
of
bull-headedness when it comes to litigation. Check out
this article about the
$200M lawsuit it lost, when it could
have settled for a wrist slap:
The Register 23 MAR 2012
There's something very disfunctional about
Oracles Board of
Directors. Shareholders should be outraged. One, Jordan
Weinrib, has filed a lawsuit over their handling of that
$200M loser. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
