There must be about 40,000 blogs and websites belonging to regular readers here
at Groklaw, and more if you added /. users.
Perhaps we should all add a small banner up the top of our sites decrying
Florian Mueller as a paid mouthpiece (shill) for Microsoft and Oracle.
At the very least it would lead him to get defensive and either reveal financial
arrangements or explain why if he is open minded and not influenced in any way
why his "opinions" tie in so well with the companies paying him for
"analysing".

He has changed.
He says API's should be protected by patents not copyrights.

And then he shouldn't.
He earns his keep by publishing stores unrelated to truth, but
guaranteed to be controversial. It's not like he is interested in stating
true facts, past or future: he is interested on stirring the pot, however
settled it may be.
Why? Easy: that's what the news media buy.
They're no more interested in the truth than FM is, they need to sell
