'Ripped Sun Off'? Entails an Illegal Action!
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, June 01 2012 @ 01:15 PM EDT
"It is certainly a valid view that Google ripped Sun off."

Sorry but using the term "Ripped Sun Off" is worse than what
Gosling posted recently about Google and Java re; "Google Slimmed
Java". It entails Google doing something illegal it's
very nature. This Judge's ruling goes to great lengths to
proof itself and the fact that other than some accidental and
since removed verified copying, that Google did absolutely
nothing illegal by making their own Java implementation.

Florian Mueller's mysterious take...

I have to disagree.

The purpose of the copyright law is to foster and advance the arts and sciences.
Google did what copyright law is trying to do by trasforming Java language to
the next level - to the mobile and smartphone world where Sun/Oracle has failed
multiple times.
