Google may get hit with some small fines (couple of thousand bucks?) for their
accidental copying, but from the tone of the ruling I don't even think that's
likely.
I also imagine a certain Florian Mueller will be trying frantically to explain
himself away --- again! I went and read his blog for 28th May and couldn't stop
laughing....I would post a link to it, but I know PJ doesn't like to encourage

They have more patents they can sue with. Only two were in this trial. They can
spend the next 10 to 15 years suing Google with bad patents two at a time.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

No, I don't think it tosses it. But I think it sets the table for the very
low
award he'll give, unless Google and Oracle don't work out something
mutually
satisfactory. I've been wondering if the famous $1.00 award is
a-coming, if the
Judge sets the amount. It would certainly punish Oracle for
demanding a
