Like the cat in the box, you never know the state of a reference until you
observe it-- when Oracle looks its numerical, when Google looks its symbolic,
when the jury looks.......

Oracle and BSF really did not get their money's worth from Dr. Mitchell. It's
real simple:

"Numbers are symbols, therefore numeric references are also symbolic
references."

I'm surprised I have to explain these things.
