>There are still plenty of people developing for Microsoft after all their
shenanigans.
In the software fields I track, all of the major players dropped WinMo
development when WinMo 7 was announced. Whilst the public/official statement
was that WinMo 6.5 sales were poor, privately/unofficially they all said that
Microsoft had made it too expensive to write and support software for future
versions of WinMo.
I find it telling that none of them have announced plans for Windows 8 support.
Especially since several of them offered beta versions for Win7, specifically
for testing with public beta releases of Win7 by Microsoft.
I wouldn't be surprised if, by the time Windows 9 is released, for the software
fields I track, no programs/applications are available, for any operating system
that is then supported by Microsoft.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
