Judge Judy......

I have long wanted to see Ballmer up before her, and Gates too, if some case could be made based on past wrongdoings.

It is easy to see what she would get Ballmer on, and I think they would have to see that the studio furniture was securly bolted down!

Seriously though, one sure way of bankrupting the Monopoly would be for everyone who has suffered as a result of their incompetence to each file a claim in their local small claims court. I think that many countries have those, certainly we do in the UK.

The cost of attending each court, at least sending a lawyer, would bankrupt them 10 times over. If they ignored the courts, the damage awards would total somehwat less, lawyers being expensive, but would still wipe them out.

The problem would be in sending the bailiffs in to collect the money, because it might not be accessible in the countries which would bring the most complaints. Is the money in Nevada, Ireland or somewhere else?

Oh, and by the way, if they try to prohibit class actions in the EU, the courts are almost certain to rule that to be unreasonable and not enforce it, so the threat of class action will also remain. Unfair EULAs, which try to deny you your legal rights, are not valid in the UK at least, and I think the EU adopted that too.
