Harsh words, but well deserved, in my opinion.
A person who can be persuaded by money to play
that loose with the truth and apparently tried
to covertly take back things he said in statements
to the Court deserves no sympathy, no trust and
no mercy. It is unworthy of a witness to do what
he did, and courts should not tolerate it.
In the end, only Dr. Mitchell is to blame for his
actions. Unless Oracle held his family hostage or
something, he could have chosen not to do his
"convenient alterations". I am fully convinced that
they were very deliberate alterations, not mistakes,
and what he did deserves to be called out for what
it is: an attempt to deceive the court. It felt
good to see the judge come as close to doing that
as he could without disqualifying the jury outright.
