If Java was a car
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, May 30 2012 @ 02:40 PM EDT
Perhaps in its day, the tin horse could have been utilized the way a computer is today, patent-wise.

Yes, you've seen a wheel to control things before, but this is a wheel used to control a motorized vehicle.

Sure, we've seen drivers sit in front of passengers in wagons before, but this is a seating arrangement in a motorized vehicle.

Sure, gears have been used in machines before, but these are gears arranged to optimize transferring power to a motorized vehicle.

We should be calling them Whims not Patents.

If Java was a car

A common mechanism for steering cars in the early days was a tiller (like
steering a dinghy).

I think others used differential brakes.

Cheers,
Wol
