The Judge's questions can't be about "throws" in method declarations

The judge is most likely wanting to establish that point about the "throws"
keyword. Don't assume that just because something is a fact, the court has
already officially taken it into consideration.

If a method doesn't check and catch (handle) its own (non runtime) exceptions - and therefore lets them pass to the caller, it MUST specify that it throws the exception type. This is so that callers can be aware of the type of exceptional conditions (ie. errors) that a method may return, and either handle them, or let them bubble up to the next caller up the stack (by specifying that it throws the exception.
