If Oracle win, I will never code a line of java again in my life
Authored by: Anonymous on Tuesday, May 22 2012 @ 08:24 AM EDT
In my opinion, it could be a bad news for Oracle to win!
If so many enterprises are using Java (IBM, Sun, etc.) it is also because Sun
has given some proof it didn't want to control the Java ecosystem.
And it was not so easy to convince Sun to open the JCP and the JDK (and at that
time Oracle was saying (hight and clear) that Sun had to give to the community
all the java platform).
Invest in Java makes sens only if you think Oracle would never use Java to
coerce you into doing things you don't want to do.
It's why all the other players have asked Sun to open the JCP, the JDK (and the
TCK !). If they think Oracle want to (and can) change the rules, it will not be
goog for Java (and not for be good for Oracle !).
