Over here in Holland when seeing people filed up we just walk away in disgust

At Galatoire's in New Orleans the line for a seat forms quite a bit before opening.

Before Hurricane Katrina, for the Friday before Christmas and the Friday before Mardis Gras, the line to get a seat for lunch on Friday would begin to form days earlier. Now they have a charity auction for the seats (lunch and tip not included). They raised nearly $475,000 for those 7 days in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009.
