Annular eclipse of the Sun
Authored by: hardmath on Monday, May 21 2012 @ 05:29 PM EDT

Just as the last full "super" Moon was roughly at perigee (as close as possible to Earth), this new Moon was roughly at apogee (as far away as possible), and thus appeared too small to cover the Sun.

I'm on the eastern side of the US and didn't see even a partial eclipse due to cloudy conditions. But that's why we have the Internet.

Total eclipse of the Sun?
Authored by: AntiFUD on Monday, May 21 2012 @ 06:32 PM EDT
Oh, and there was me thinking that His Honor was making reference to Sun being
eclipsed by Oracle, having completely obliterated all signs of Sun's website and
any and all discoverable evidence.
