Yes, this article is about what Sun said about the EU
decision.
What it also shows is Sun's attitude towards patents (and
presumably copyright given similar impacts).
NOW, if you took the next step you wil see the point people
here are making is simply this gives weight to Google's
arguments that at the time Sun had given numerous
indications both indirectly (via stmt to EU) and directly by
comms to Google as opposed to Oracle's position being Sun
were strongly for patents and copyright protections in the
industry, just didn't have the funding to litigate - but
Oracle do.
It's a pretty basic point being made here, although you seem
to insist stopping the discussion at the first point only
not seeing the relevance this has to the competing views
between Google and Oracle have of Sun's attitude and views
at the critical time when Android was in it's infancy.
