So you think when someone asserts that a law has bad effects on an industry, he
is stopped from making use of that law even while it is still in effect?
Why? Does he suddenly become liable for the law because he states it is a bad
idea?
If a soccer player states he thinks the offside rule a bad idea because offside
traps harm the game flow, does that mean that referees should no longer grant
"offside" when he is on the side that profits?
Why? Whether or not you talk about the rules and call them good or bad, they
still hold for every player, and it is not the referees' job to only let rules
count to some player's advantage that said player has not spoken out against in
