I read that as "Judge asked them if there was still a case."

After phase 1, the judge still underestimates the quality of the jury. I forgive
the judge. They are asking questions that would not have occurred to me.
Mind you, I have not looked too closely at the jury questions because I get too
stressed and I also attempt to answer them based on Groklaw briefings.
I was about to warn against counting one's chickens when I had the mental
picture of the lawyer in the Simpsons (or, was it Family Guy?).
There you go; another totally stressful day.
