The end of Psystar's adventure
Authored by: Anonymous on Tuesday, May 15 2012 @ 03:02 PM EDT
I think if you dig deep enough you will either come out on
the other side of the earth or find that wealthy people have
always "owned" governments regardless of any published PR
saying otherwise. The US is no exception. I'm not sure
what happens when there are no more countries to expand
economic and politcal might into for the sake of wealth and
control. Perhaps one just starts a war against some poor
nation and starts over again, hoping for better luck the
next time around. That seems to be the trend.

Psystar diddled with the code
Authored by: mcinsand on Tuesday, May 15 2012 @ 03:22 PM EDT
If Psystar hadn't monkeyed with Apple's code, they might have had a chance, or I
at least would like to think so. I was hoping for an outcome that would rule
any constraints of OS to hardware as illegal tying. As someone that is enjoying
the ability to (currently) purchase whiteboxes without an OS tax with memories
of MS somewhat successfully restricting whitebox sales, I would like to see
hardware, OS, and applications ruled as three distinct markets.
