Symbolic vs Numeric References

I think we are really saying the same thing. Since Dalvik does the conversion
during install time, the look-up table has been shortened to remove all the
symbolic names and the final executable code is shortened to replace the
symbolic names with table locations which eliminates the symbolic look-up during
program execution.

The quote of mine that you referenced says that if Oracle was correct in that
the numeric references (CCCC) were symbolic references, then the table would
contain the symbolic names (CCCC) in the table, which the tables don't, hence
proving that the CCCCs are numeric references only.

Hopefully the jury will see past the smoke and mirrors and see Oracle('s
lawyers) as just really bad illusionists.
