Yes, well, I've put it to my local school board that simple programming
languages allow children to use and visualize mathematics. As tool using
creatures we retain information better if it can be used as a tool immediately.
Additionally, most children enjoy games, and in this day and age who wouldn't
benefit from a little light programming E.G. Being able to tell the computers we
all use how to batch process things.
Furthermore, since programming IS math, why not teach a bit in math class? We
already pay lots of money for graphing calculators. For the same or similar
price we could have fully functional general purpose computers for the children
to use.

In the future, by your criterion, no one will be unbiased? I mean, nearly EVERY
student in my Jr. High wrote code in Logo, even the 'non programmers'....

Well, they did seem to go to great lengths to make sure that
NO programmers or technical people were on the jury.
