That's a very iffy suggestion, at best. A more supportable guess would be

There is nothing to suggest that anyone, other than the person at Noser responsible, ever knew about them, much less used them.

That would suggest at least one developer did some testing ...
If it proves anything, it proves that someone tried to make Android as
compatible with Java as possible.
