For some types of expert testimony, it is standard practice for all of the
expert witnesses to listen/observe each other's testimony.

I remember one case where , after listening to each other's testimony, they
got together in the evening, went through their combined data, and in the
morning submitted a joint brief to the judge, repudiating their previous
testimony. (The lawyer's clients had doctored the data that the expert
witnesses used for their testimony.)
