The news comes after Sony this week announced a
record annual loss of ... ($5.71 billion).
Dear
Sony;
Due to your decisions concerning your customers I was one, of many
I hope, who decided to no longer be your customer. As a result of no longer
being your customer, I hope I played a role in your $5.71 Billion
loss.
It is not right - even if it might be Legally ruled acceptable - to
arbitrarily decide to remove functionality on components people have purchased.
I was one of many directly impacted by your decision to remove the "other OS"
function of the PS3. That one factor was the deciding factor which lead to my
purchase decision.
The above example is just one of several that have
occurred over the last couple years. As you have such an untrustworthy
personality - a consumer can not rely on their Sony product to continue
functioning as-is - it was very easy for me to decide to no longer be your
customer.
Again, I repeat: I hope that I played some small role - Legally
of course as I have the Legal right to choose not to be your customer - in
helping you realize a $5.71 Billion loss. I look forward to "working with
you more" in the future in order to continue the trend.
