Not convinced by the US Android figures - they seem too low.

I've seen reports showing far higher Android usage in the US than the figures shown suggest.

Here's a recent article linking a report showing over 50% Android market share in the US.

In fact here's another recent one showing US sales of android at 61% of the smartphone market

I have tried, I really have

to like Android.
First up was a Samsung device. Slow, kept crashing and almost useless.
Then I tried HTC. A Sensation to be exact. Unless you root it, you can't remove
apps like Facebook & Twitter. Google Maps does not work when roaming(just
when you need it). Even my friends old Nokia did that.
Even slower than the Samsung. Takes 2-3 seconds to hang up a call. Eh?
Even my friends old Nokia did that.

So next month, I'm going back to an iPhone.

I have no doubt that eventually it will come good (without the need to root the
phone) but until then I need something that works for me.

Ubuntu & 'apt-get' are not the answer to Life, The Universe & Everything which
is of course, "42" or is it 1.618?
