Y'know, I've had an iPhone and have an Android, but my wife
prefers an iPhone...
Overall, her iPhone is a bit more straightforwards, but has
inferior cloud tools and lacks widgets.
Since my phone is (in order):
(a) a shareable calendar
(a2) An email checker
(b) a phone
(c) a task list
(d) a mini-Kindle
I prefer Android - but it is not like there's a giant
difference.
My wife prefers her iPhone, but is probably mostly motivated
by 'shiny'. She also complains about the lack of calendar
widgets.
I don't think there's really much difference - just a matter
of taste. I will add that my original iPhone and my Android
phone crashed about the same amount, although the iPhone
gets the nod for battery life.
I'm waiting for jellybean lite to root and upgrade my phone.
OTOH, Android does feel a bit like the old HP workstations -
where the vendor added a lot of useless garbage in an
attempt to 'differentiate'. I'm looking forwards to dumping
that stuff.
Overall, nod to Android - but only because of superior
integration with Google services.
