Working for SCO might be a challenge these
days.

Oracle will pay the ultimate price for this: people

I think you might be overestimating how much more Oracle will get tarnished from
this. If they were successful with the API claim, and got precedence for all API
to be presume copyrighted, causing the software industry to get into a legal
mess, then I can see Oracle's image getting a tiny bit more tarnished.

As it is, most people don't care enough to even find out what Oracle is really
doing here since they assume it will not affect them. Given how Oracle has been
doing business and how they have been suing other companies over the years,
their image has been plenty tarnished already. Still people are willing to do
business with them and work for them. I don't think this lawsuit as of now will
really change anybody's mind about working for Oracle, unless Oracle is revealed
to be legally a criminal organisation or something.

On the other hand, I hear working conditions at Oracle are not that great. And
Oracle seem to have too much on their hands since buying Sun. So many who
currently work at Oracle probably won't stay for long even if they have no
problem with what Oracle is doing in the courts.

Oracle's rep was already horrid before this

Oracle has had a reputation as evil incarnate for a while now - particularly if
you have to actually do business with them. I don't think they've done much
damage since there's simply nothing to damage.
