Yes, but Oracle hasn't been "defecating in public" before, so to
speak. Computing experts join companies primarily for the kudos of working for
a high profile company, but that cuts both ways. If the company's profile
becomes tarnished, the kudos are balanced against no longer feeling so good
about yourself, and wondering whether perhaps it's been long enough already and
time to move on.
Moreover, it actually provides highly mobile experts with an opportunity as
well: Q: "Why did you leave your previous company?" A: "At the
time of the litigation against Android, internal feelings weren't all that
positive, and many of us felt that building upon mobile technology would have
been more progressive than litigating."
There isn't an HR interviewer who would find fault with that answer, unless they
