'Some' concern? Gimme a break - the time where actions of US companies were
giving the rest of the world only 'some' concern are long past.
And don't pretend this isn't already spilling over into other (dare I say:
civilized) countries. Patent battles over software implemented inventions are
being fought in Europe today. The european common patent initiative is nothing
but a thinly veiled attempt to codify overreaching patent practice at the EPO
into law. With no recourse to a higher court, to boot.
Not that it's only US corporations that cause major concerns - the actions of
the US government are more than cause for 'some' concern as well.
Maybe I misunderstood you - I still don't do British Understatement all that
well.
