Google+ from the court room
Authored by: Anonymous on Tuesday, May 08 2012 @ 09:34 PM EDT
Hi,

If someone is providing Google+ updates from the courtroom,
please say here. I'd prefer to follow on G+ than Twitter.

Thanks!

Tweets from the court room
Authored by: naka on Wednesday, May 09 2012 @ 10:57 AM EDT

I don't know if Rachael King has been reading the criticism on Groklaw but her twitter reporting sure has improved. Exciting things are happening (chronologically ordered instead of twitter order, from her tweets...):

Sun's US 10-K form now on screen in courtroom. Van Nest can't find the date. Boies got up to help him. (It's from June 3, 2008)

Sun 10-K includes notes about co. announcements & other news that can be viewed via Investor Relations sites...and CEO BLOG #OraclevGoogle

Judge Alsup said that a jury could think that note about CEO blog in Sun 10-K could undermine McNealy's testimony

Another blow for Oracle? Objection overruled as Sun's 10-K is going into evidence. But Sutphin is still testifying...

This is interesting stuff! Can't wait to see the full transcript

Rubin a bit shaky / flaky by the sound of it
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, May 09 2012 @ 11:50 AM EDT
James Niccolai ‏ @jniccolai
Point to Oracle?: Rubin testified he had discussions with
Sun "all the time" about patents, then tried to retract what
he said

James Niccolai ‏ @jniccolai
Rubin: "I think 'all the time' was colorful language by
myself; it's hard to talk about patents all the time"

James Niccolai ‏ @jniccolai
And Andy Rubin is out of the hot seat, "subject to recall."
But now Oracle playing 20 mins video testimony from Rubin
recorded earlier

James Niccolai ‏ @jniccolai
Rubin testified under Qs from Google that the discussions
were to ensure that Android OEMs were safe from any
potential litigation by Sun

Rachel King ‏ @ZDNetRachel
Rubin argues that all references to Sun's patent lawsuit
threats were about other units at Google -- not Android.

Rachel King ‏ @ZDNetRachel
Rubin off the stand subject to recall. He bolted just in
time for Jacobs to announce they're going to play a portion
of his video deposition

Currently the 20 minute Rubin deposition is playing, tweets
seem to have gone quiet - so not sure if anything bad has
shown up.
