Cattle and formerly dinosaurs *produced* little or no carbon dioxide in
digestion. The digestion process frees CO2 sequested in plants during
photosynthesis. The methane produced is similarly from CO2 and H2 previously in
the atmosphere. Both cattle and dinosaurs do produce CO2 during respiration.
