Nokia needs cell phone carriers, period. Can't do it with
MS OS and Skype (they hate both).

The only way they can "break thru" is to use patents to
force themselves onto others.

Nokia, should have done an MS phone, an Android phone, and
other OS phones (offered options to carriers to chose what
they wanted). Now, they have boxed themselves into a corner
so badly by going with only Microsoft/Skype, that they might
never get out.

When Nokia's cash flow reaches a crises point...
Authored by: Gringo_ on Sunday, May 06 2012 @ 09:57 AM EDT

...they will be rescued by Microsoft, who will buy them out. Then the proud people of Finland, who have been pinching their noses and buying Nokia's WinPhones to support their national symbol, will be suddenly left holding the bag. How will they react when the full significance sets in? Their national treasure, first destroyed by Microsoft's confederate, Elop, then delivered into Microsoft's hands. They will feel humiliated. Their WinPhones will remind them of this every time they make a call, and they will hate them. They will feel that they have been had, and a mob will rise up and dump Elop into the nearest Fjord.
