I want a world where money is not the be-all and end-all of
existence.
I want a world where people are more important than profit.
I want a world where social justice is something more than a
line item funded after profits are calculated.
I want a world where ALL people are equal, regardless of
race, sex, or economic strata.
I want a world where we are responsible for our own actions.
I want a world where injustice is met with resistance by
more than a few people.
I want a world where life is celebrated in every form it
takes.
I want a world where the hungry are fed, the naked are
clothed, the stranger is welcomed, the outcast is given a
chance to rejoin the community .. even ex-cons and sex
offenders.
I want a world where Gospel values are practiced, as well as
preached.
I've had enough of your world. I've seen too much of it, and
helped too many times to achieve your goals. My conscience
is bothering me, and I fear that I will never make my part
of the mess right again.
You can have your world. I don't want it.
