Looks like anti-Android astroturf to me. My first reaction is to wonder
who paid for the article to be written - Apple or Microsoft.
I actually think this GS2 I'm typing this reply on would benefit from
more rounded corners.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Exactly what it says - obviously the S III designed by Lawyers to ensure that
the design did not accidently infringe on Apple's device. ;)
Clearly Apple nicked^Wstole^Wwas influenced by the Gnome Panel and Enlightenment
window manager (with Enlightenment the screen is a viewport onto a large desktop
which can be configured to be x viewports wide and y viewports deep and moved
over that grid, though the programs' windows can be placed anywhere on the
desktop) when I go off the edge of the screen (with the mouse) to move the
viewport to another part of the desktop the panel stays still with all its
icons.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

But then... I've never had an eye for microscopic changes in art that makes
one item "beautiful" and another "ugly".
Personally, I just don't see
what's "ugly" about the S3. To me it looks virtually identical to the S1.
Admittedly, not when place side by side in a picture... but when I first saw the
S3 alone... I had no idea what the differences were.
Meh!

In this environment of rampant IP nonsense, perhaps the old joke about the camel
being a horse designed by a committee should be changed to:
"A camel is a horse designed by lawyers to avoid patent infringement
lawsuits from Equus GmBH."[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
