Android Ported to C#

I think at this point all Google really needs to do is avoid the SSO of the 37
APIs, they are pretty much clear on everything else right? (the patents expire
shortly and the rest of the copyright claims are pretty much gone) In order to
do that all they have to do is change the organization and naming of the
packages in their documentation and framework. Then they could provide a
compatibility substitution map for old code that is not using the new APIs which
is invoked at compile time when converting to Dalvik. I'm pretty sure that the
substitution map would not infringe, and even if it does, let Oracle sue again
(for another 34 million) and by the time they are done everyone will have
converted to the new API and there will not be any forward royalties. Meanwhile
Google's new API will become the new defacto standard and Java won't be needed
anymore.

Oracle may wish that it had lost (on the off chance they win).

C# is out of the question. It's just "second verse, same as the first."
