Yep, it means the parties have settled their patent dispute.

I think I asked this in the last article, but I can't find it:

Does the antitrust action in the USA need B&N to keep pushing it, or does it
continue on it's own now that it's started?

Selling out to 'the man'
Authored by: complex_number on Monday, April 30 2012 @ 12:09 PM EDT
Well, that is how I feel. I had a good look at a Nook last week in San Diego.
I've admired the B&N fight against Microsoft but this has IMHO all the
hallmarks of desperation.

Sure Microsoft is 'paying' $300M into their joint venture but in the long term,
this is going to be the death knell for B&N. We all know what happens to
joint ventures with Microsoft. There is only one winner in these deals and that
is Microsoft.
I know from first hand experience that they go into them like Vikings. i.e. to
rape and pillage their partners. In all probability they will simply steam
roller B&N aside and use their tech in a future MS tablet/ebook reader..

Short Term gain for long Term Pain.
There may well be more lawsuits to come.

Ubuntu & 'apt-get' are not the answer to Life, The Universe & Everything which
is of course, "42" or is it 1.618?

This is a big blow to alot of independent Android developers.

B&N's Shop generated a lot of revenue compared to the Amazon Appstore and
Google's Play Market.
