Oracle going for a mistrial?
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, April 27 2012 @ 03:32 PM EDT
IMHO, I do not think the judge will allow the changing of the story. Oracle is a
big boy and has hired "quality " lawyers and they needed to complete
"Due Diligence" before launching the suit.

If Oracle messed up, Google should not be penalized.

I think that this judge gets it and may take the decision away from the jury.

Do not be surprised if Google comes back and states that since Oracle wants to
change the playing field that if Google had known this information before the
trial started that they would have developed their side of the trial completely
differently. Changing the rules at this late stage puts Google at a
disadvantage.

My predication - Judge starts making decisions that are going to cause Oracle
significant pain.

Oracle foot gun aimed at Java

Oracle has probably done serious damage to their Java products. Anyone who
purchased other products probably knew from the big hole in their wallet and
Larry Ellison's proclivity to flaunt his massive wealth that they'd been (hmmm,

trying to think of a polite way of saying this...) had.

How can they go a mistrial when they are the ones "shifting so
much"?
