Take a look at Google's rule-50 motion
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, April 27 2012 @ 06:02 PM EDT
Before I read Google's motion I thought the judge meant Google was going to lose on the big fat manual because I assumed "big fat" alluded to how much evidence Oracle had showing substantial similarities in the manuals.
I had always assumed "big fat" was meant literally, a consequence of being old enough to remember when programmers worked from printed manuals instead of hypertext. The VAX VMS manuals were sometimes referred to as "the gray wall" due to the large number of binders they filled.

It is not actually in dispute, if you read the proposed special verdict.

What is in dispute is the SSO the 'book'
You can see it for yourself

go to developer.android.com click on the reference tab
now click on the button for the tree view, and when you open the java sections
you will see the SSO

yes it might be trivial, yes it might be nonsense, yes it might be names, but
it's there, just like the second number in the zip code etc.

I think the para you quote is just a part of stating all the points of
defence/attack to cover all the bases.

The rest I've been saying all along.
