If we played that game on Groklaw, we'd all be stone drunk by now. :)

The last few days have seen plenty of unsuccessful attempts here at explaining
APIs by analogy. Its just a difficult thing to explain.. as a programmer, you
absorb the concepts involved through the pores of your skin and it just becomes
part of your working vocabulary. But its surprisingly hard to find real-world
objects or scenarios which are directly analogous.
