What I quoted was GPL v2. And no, it is not a given you
don't get the patents with GPL v2. That's why it's
AMBIGUOUS!! Read what I posted, straight out of GPL v2. It
says the licensee gives me the rights to modify and pass on
modifications, and grant those rights to those I pass the
software on to. If I don't have the patents, I can't do
that. That IMPLIES (not guarantees, it's not been to a court
of law) that I have a patent grant.

Stating something as fact does NOT make it fact.
