The walking tour
Authored by: BitOBear on Thursday, April 26 2012 @ 05:17 PM EDT
A walking tour is more than the leaflet.

Think of it more as everything you might want to tell a blind house-sitter about
the house they were going to sit in.

There are certain technical dificulties such as how tricky it might be for the
house sitter to use the advanced touch-screen thermostat.

There are certain nicities like how they might not want to go out on the deck
barefoot since the dog has splintered up the wood.

There are some peculiarities like where the vacuum power-button for the garbage
disposal is located on the sink.

There are plenty of no-detail-required stuff, like how the toilet works,
presuming you don't have a twelve-thousand dollar Japanese automated toilet.

So it's not about "Realtors" or brochures. It's about the disclosure
of necessary information for use.

Harmony's goal was to be able to say to the house sitter "I know you've sat
for the nice Sun family down the street. You should have no trouble sitting for
us because our house is basically the same. You don't have to worry about the
deck though as we don't have a dog."
