All Android phone manufacturers need to do is:

1: Start handing out root passwords to the owners of the hardware.
2: Add a HDMI port to the phone. (Not a proprietary docking port, a simple HDMI
port)

From those two changes, we'd see a rise of (for lack of a better term)
phonetops: Android phones that have a simple switch to running a full X-windows
environment (so they can run gnome/kde/xfce/etc...), prefectly suited to the
majority of desktop applications, merely by plugging in mouse, keyboard and
monitor. None of the productivity issues of tablets for serious work, but just
as portable.

Wouldn't that be nice?

Since phones have more power than old IBM mainframes these days, I don't see
what the problem is.

For MS, that means collapse.

Meanwhile down here on planet Earth people still seem to buy PCs and Windows.

"For MS, that means collapse."

No, it more likely means litigation, as M$ completes its transition to full time
troll.
